About Dr. Ntranos - A Greek Neurologist in Los Angeles
Dr. Achillefs Ntranos MD was born in Athens, Greece, into a family of biologists and developed a deep passion for medicine early in life. His journey to becoming a neurologist was profoundly shaped by a personal experience when his father was diagnosed with lung cancer, igniting his dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care. After graduating from the University of Athens Medical School, Dr. Ntranos moved to the United States to join the neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis (MS) research team at Johns Hopkins University. He later completed his neurology residency and fellowship in MS and demyelinating diseases at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where he was recognized as Chief Resident. He later became an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
In 2022, Dr. Ntranos founded Achilles Neurology Clinic, a private neurology practice in Beverly Hills, California with a patient-centric philosophy. With a focus on providing world-class, personalized care for patients with multiple sclerosis, demyelinating diseases, headaches, neuropathies and other neurological conditions, Dr. Ntranos combines his academic excellence, research expertise, and genuine empathy to make a meaningful difference in the lives of his patients.
