Usually the same or next day. Book online to pick from the next available times at our Beverly Hills or Los Angeles office, or by telehealth anywhere in California. If you need a time outside regular hours, call us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do I need a referral to see a neurologist?

Accepted Answer

No. You can book directly with Dr. Ntranos, and no prior authorization is required. As a fee-for-service practice we schedule when you need care, not when an insurance plan allows it. If your primary care doctor wants to refer you, we are glad to coordinate with them.

Are you accepting new patients?

Accepted Answer

Yes. New patients are seen the same or next day in most cases, and we prioritize people with suspected multiple sclerosis, neuroinflammation, or a new abnormal MRI who need an answer quickly.

How do I know if I need to see a neurologist?

Accepted Answer

Common reasons include persistent or worsening headaches and migraines, numbness or tingling, weakness, dizziness or loss of balance, memory or concentration problems, vision changes, tremor, and abnormal findings on a brain or spine MRI. If you are unsure, a consultation is the right place to start, and we will tell you honestly whether neurological care is needed.

Who will I see at my visit?

Dr. Ntranos, every visit. There are no handoffs to physician assistants, nurse practitioners, or rotating residents, so the doctor who examined you is the one who follows your care.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel or reschedule online, by phone, or by texting the office at (310) 774-7025. Please give at least 24 hours of notice so the time can be offered to another patient. Late cancellations are subject to a fee.

Do you take insurance?

Accepted Answer

We are an out-of-network, fee-for-service practice. You pay for the visit directly and receive a detailed superbill to submit to your insurer. Most PPO plans reimburse 50-80%, depending on your out-of-network benefits. HSA and FSA funds can typically be used. Staying outside insurance networks is what makes 60-minute visits and, in most cases, same or next-day access possible.

Do you accept Medicare?

Dr. Ntranos is a non-participating provider for original Medicare. You pay at the time of your visit, we submit the claim to Medicare for you, and any reimbursement comes to you directly from Medicare or your secondary insurance. We follow the Medicare limiting charge, so the visit never exceeds the maximum allowed amount. We do not accept Medicare Advantage plans.

Will my insurance still cover MRIs, labs, and medications?

In most cases, yes. Being out-of-network applies to the visit itself. Imaging, blood tests, medications, and infusions that we order are billed by the facility or pharmacy under your own plan. We recommend confirming coverage details with your insurer before scheduling a test.

How do I pay for my visit?

Payment is collected securely online before your visit by credit card, debit card, or Apple Pay. Pay-in-4 plans through Klarna are also available. If cost is a concern, contact the office to discuss payment options.

Why is the practice out-of-network?

Accepted Answer

Insurance-based neurology runs on 15-minute visits and months-long waitlists. Practicing outside those networks lets Dr. Ntranos spend a full hour with each patient, see new patients usually the same or next day, and answer your messages himself between visits. Concierge neurology is not about exclusivity. It is about time.

Do you offer telehealth neurology visits in California?

Yes. Dr. Ntranos is licensed in California and sees patients by secure, HIPAA-compliant video anywhere in the state, including San Francisco and San Diego. Many new evaluations and most follow-ups work well by video, and we will tell you when an in-person exam is needed.

Our primary office is at 433 N Camden Dr, Suite 610, in Beverly Hills. We also see patients at 11620 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 600, in Los Angeles. Both offer in-person visits and telehealth.

Which office should I choose, Beverly Hills or Los Angeles?

Same doctor, same 60 minutes at either office. Choose whichever is closer, or a video visit if the drive is the obstacle and your concern does not need a hands-on exam. We will tell you honestly when it does. Both offices keep the same hours and see the same range of conditions, and either can be followed by video visits.

Can I see you if I live outside Beverly Hills or Los Angeles?

Yes. Patients across California see Dr. Ntranos by telehealth, and many travel to Beverly Hills for an in-person evaluation followed by video follow-ups. Under current licensing rules we are unable to treat patients located outside California.

English and Greek. Visits in either language are available in person and by telehealth.

What should I bring to my first neurology appointment?

Accepted Answer

A list of your current medications, prior imaging reports and the images themselves on disc or through a portal link, recent lab results, and any notes from other doctors. A short timeline of your symptoms, or a headache or symptom diary, is especially helpful.

How long is a visit, and what happens during it?

New-patient visits are 60 minutes. Dr. Ntranos takes your history without interruption, performs a full neurological examination, reviews any imaging with you, and explains what he is considering and why. You leave with a written plan, and e-prescriptions go to your pharmacy the same day.

Can I get a copy of my visit notes?

Yes. Ask at any time and we will send a copy of your consultation note. Notes are also available through the patient portal, and we send a note to your referring doctor when you ask us to.

Can Dr. Ntranos prescribe medications and coordinate treatments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your local or mail-order pharmacy the same day. For infusions and other specialized therapies, we work with infusion centers in Beverly Hills and across California and coordinate the referral for you.

Can I see Dr. Ntranos for a second opinion?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Second opinions on a diagnosis, an abnormal MRI, or a treatment plan are one of the most valuable things a longer visit makes possible. Bring your records and imaging and we will go through them together, then send you and your existing doctor a clear written assessment.

What happens if I need an MRI or CT scan?

We order the scan and refer you to a radiology facility near you from our network across California, then review the images with you directly rather than leaving the report in a portal. If you already have imaging, bring it and we will read it at your visit.

You receive a lab order that works at any Quest or Labcorp location, or you can have blood drawn at home through our partner GetLabs. Results are reviewed with you and the plan adjusted as needed.

What if I need a lumbar puncture?

If a spinal tap is needed to confirm or rule out a diagnosis, we arrange it at a partner imaging facility, where it is done under fluoroscopic guidance by an interventional radiologist, and we interpret the results with you. We use it only when the result will change the plan, and we explain what to expect beforehand.

Which tests can be done through the practice?

Small fiber skin biopsy for neuropathy, home sleep studies, neuropsychological testing, and neurogenetic testing are all available through the practice, so most diagnostic workups do not require a hospital visit.

Yes. Dr. Ntranos completed a fellowship in multiple sclerosis and demyelinating diseases at Mount Sinai and a research fellowship in neuroimmunology at Johns Hopkins. The MS clinic offers diagnosis, disease-modifying therapy, relapse care, and second opinions, in person in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles or by telehealth across California.
